On 28 May, the EPTA project team will hold its final conference entitled Public Transport Authority – a key factor leading to transport sustainability. Lessons learnt, impacts, and commitments.

The conference will be co-organized with the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC).

The programme includes a morning session focusing on experience and lessons from the work during the EPTA project and from participating EPTA cities. In an afternoon session, speakers from the European institutions will present current legislative instruments and policies.

The conference will kick-off with a short introduction into EPTA at a reception cocktail organised at Emilia-Romagna regional representation in Brussels on May 27 from 18h.

Target groups are policy makers, public authorities, and regional representations in Brussels as well as EU Institutions, members of the EESC and the Committee of the Regions (CoR), and other stakeholders.

The 6th EPTA Workshop which will be organized in Razlog (Bulgaria) on 29th October 2013. The workshop is going to concentrate on “The service contract management: policies in action”.

Many experts will talk about their experiences on the topic. The draft agenda of the event is available here!

 

The following day, 30th October, will be held the 5th EPTA Training Course, which will analyse “Good Practices for service contract management“. The agenda will available soon.

The 5th EPTA workshop which will be organized in Rogaland, Norway between the 12th and the 13th of June 2013. The workshop is going to concentrate on “Good Practices for successful campaign for Public Transport promotion: shifting towards sustainability”.

The Rogaland event will also include the 4th training course of the project title “Funding for services: to operators or to citizens?

First EPTA event of 2013 – Almada, Portugal

The latest workshop and training as part of the EPTA project took place on 12-13 March, in Almada, Portugal.

 

The City Council of Almada welcomed the participants to discuss various important issues related to transport service tendering and to get training on different existing tender models, offer evaluation and awarding procedures. The European and national legal framework for awarding and tendering in public transport has been discussed, as well as what is needed and what is proposed in Portugal in this domain. Joint event of 3 INTERREG IV.C ongoing projects in Prague

 

EPTA * INVOLVE * D-AIR

 

November 5th, 2012, University of Life Sciences

EPTA project partner – Municipal District Prague – Suchdol – initiated the communication among partners of other INTERREG IV.C projects currently implemented in the Metropolitan area of the City of Prague. All three projects are targeted on the same topics – improvement of the transport and mobility in accordance with environmental demands, the involvement of private sector into transport solutions and strong cooperation of local stakeholders. The “capitalisation” of the findings and strong communication among all three projects managers, Mayors and Councillors of the City Districts and all relevant stakeholders, as representatives of the Ministry for Regional Development, Prague Public Transit Co. Inc. , ROPID (Regional Organiser of Prague Integrated Transport), City Development Authority, EPTA project LPSRM Bologna, will be presented in the opening session of the joint exhibition of respective projects which will be held on November 5th, 2012 in the premises of the cooperating University of Life Sciences in Prague-Suchdol.
